A Year On
It’s been very nearly a year since I finished taking isotretinoin now. So, how’s my skin?
My back, which was, of course, my main problem when it came to acne, remains clear. I had the cyst that was left after treatment removed, though it turned out it wasn’t an acne cyst, but an epidermoid cyst. It was just a coincidence that it was in the same place as my acne!
My skin is still a little drier than it used to be, but I’ve gotten used to that and have got a good skin care regime going now. I also still have to use my Carmex lip balm a couple of times a day or my lips do get very dry. I get the odd white head and the odd few blackheads on my face, but nothing much at all – certainly nothing worth complaining about!
The verdict in the end is that the treatment was very successful. A little frustrating at the time, but very definitely worth the effort and the risks. I do still check on this blog so if anyone does want to ask any questions, leave a comment and I’ll get back to you!
